Product page now offers you some keen insights !
Before ShipBob, we used to run a small e-commerce operation. As we would get our orders, we would simply pick the right item from the inventory shelf in our apartment and go about fulfilling the order. Inventory tracking was easy as we would see the physical products on the shelf every day and just know by looking at it, when to place a re-order.
As we build Shipbob, we realize you do not have the luxury of walking over to your shelve at our warehouse and seeing how many items you have in stock. (Wish it was that easy!). You need to rely on the dashboard to help you know the inventory numbers and more importantly those inventory numbers besides being accurate should help you intuitively understand how well the products are performing.
With that in mind, we just released an important update on our dashboard which should equip you with some more data to make those intuitive inventory decisions easier
On the products page, we have added three new columns:
Stock out (in days): This column shows you that given the current sales trends, how long will it be before we run out the product. You can use this data to set your re-order notification points to get an automated email from Shipbob reminding you to re-stock.
Performance: This is a 2 week trends indicator, which shows you how the product has performed in the past two weeks, if the sales have gone up or gone down for the product.
Two week Sales: Tells you the absolute number of the product we have shipped in the past two weeks.
You can also sort the page by different criterion by using the Sort Order button on the top.
On the product details page (by clicking on the product id) , you can see the past 30 day performance of the product to give you some history on the product.
If you want to go further behind, use the history tab to see how the inventory has changed in the past few days or weeks.
There are a lot of new product features on the road-map as we build out the dashboard. This is one of the early steps in us working hard to help you get more value from the Shipbob dashboard!
Do let me know your feedback on this update by emailing me at firstname.lastname@example.org and what more would you like to see on the page!.
